Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc | Alpha Eta Chapter | Fall FAMU Probate

Youtube Channel, Everlasting Decisions, posts the FAMU Fall 2018 Probate of the Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. This probate also known as the “coming out” ceremony presented the newest members of the fraternity. They strolled and performed in front of their fellow brothers and sorors as well as other students in the crowd.

Phi Beta Sigma is an African American intercollegiate Greek letter fraternity founded at Howard University by three African American males. It represents the themes of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. It consists of over 100,000 members and more than 600 chapters internationally. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated (ΦΒΣ) is the only fraternity to be constitutionally bound with an African American sorority, Zeta Phi Beta (ΖΦΒ).

Their official colors and royal blue and pure white and their official symbol is the dove. Florida A&M University, known as FAMU, is a public HBCU located in Tallahassee, Florida. It is the only HBCU in Florida and the fifth largest HBCU in the entire nation. Their athletic teams are known as the Rattlers and their colors are orange and green. Theses intercollegiate teams compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference a part of NCAA Division I.

The institution offers more than 50 bachelor’s degrees and 29 master’s degrees. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc along with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc are only two amongst the nine National Pan-Hellenic Council International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities that Florida A&M has to offer.
