University of Maryland Eastern Shore transfer and Youtuber, Naji Brooks, posts her college move-in process with her mother and sister. Naji gives her viewers an up close and personal look into her full day including the 10 hour drive and the stops made in between. Throughout her long road trip, she shows the breath-taking scenic routes as she approaches the university. Currently, many students and even parents are wondering how universities are handling the move-in process amidst the pandemic. Meanwhile, Naji reveals how her university are taking the appropriate measures and staying safe. To close out, Naji hints at an upcoming tour video of her dorm upon full completion.

University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) is a public HBCU in Princess Anne, Maryland. Despite its series of name changes over the past few hundred years, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore has remained dedicated to creating quality programs in diverse environments. The institution currently has five colleges and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. Within these programs are an emphasis placed on learning, engagement, and discovery.

The university’s athletic department is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in NCAA Division I. In fact, UMES was one of the founding members of the MEAC in 1970. UMES initially left the conference in 1979 but later decided to rejoin in 1981. The UMES Hawks intercollegiate athletic teams consist of 15 sports, seven men teams and eight women teams. Wearing maroon and gray, the Hawks have had successful sports teams over the years as they continue to build their strong athletic program.
